What do you like about the brand Flow Style?

I really like that Flow Style is a very high quality brand. It’s all about individual, eco friendly and stylish products. I like that I am able to bring in my own imput in design and marketing. The brand has a very personal meaning because it gives me the feeling I can give something positive towards it.

What can we all do to make mtb (mountain biking) more environmentally friendly?

I think we can all do many little things. It starts with consciousness of how we ride; on natural trails, how often do we really need to change tyres and buying products that we know are produced in a good social and environmentally friendly way. I’m happy that Flow Style stands up for that.

What would you like to learn on and off the bike?

On the bike I would like to be able to do some more awesome stuff like whips, no handers etc. Off the bikes there are even more.. handstands, cooking like my Mum, not falling asleep while watching a movie, mathematics, x10 pull ups, organising my wardrobe... the list goes on and on.

What’s the riding spot everyone should know?

With this whole Covid 19 I think many people dealing with the fact they had to stay home including me found out how good the trails near your home are. I think that’s what people should ride more. Their own backyard. Building your own jumps and sick turns.

What gives you motivation as an athlete?

I always try to keep moving positively. Not being overly confident with where you stand and keep pushing yourself to always be a better person.

What do you like about the brand Flow Style?

I love riding for Flow Style! Their kit has the best fit I've personally experienced, the style is perfect for laps at the bike park to racing at the highest level. I also love that their clothing products are organic from the cotton sweatshirt to the bamboo socks!

Your favourite place in the world to ride?

I’ve been privileged enough to have travelled around the world and ride lots of amazing mtb tracks but the one that stuck out to me is Morzine, France as there are so many types of riding you can do at one place… Its the mountain biking dream.

How/when did you get into mountain biking?

I got into mountain biking when I was 10 years old when my local bike park Rostrevor was being built at the time and my family were starting to run public uplifts and mountain bike hire.

If you had only 1 type of mountain bike to ride what would it be and why?

If I had to choose a type of mountain bike to ride it would be my Trail / Enduro bike because they can cope with the same type of tracks a DH bike can and also just a sweet all rounder!

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Hopefully in five years time I will still be fit and healthy racing mountain bikes at the top level of the sport and in the top 20 in the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup!

What do you like about the brand Flow Style?

What’s not to love? It’s a mountain bike company designed specifically for mountain bikers by mountain bikers. I feel downhill/enduro is moving away from the motocross roots and brands like Flow Style are really driving this forward and defining the sport. The kit designs look insane, the fit is perfect for riding and are produced in an environmentally friendly way, which is important to me.

Your favourite place in the world to ride?

Bikepark Champéry - Morgins has to be the best place in the world without a doubt. The trails there have been built to absolute perfection with the steepest, almost overhanging berms which just mean you can haul down there. We normally stop off here for a few weeks every summer between the races and the sessions always seem to go off!

How/When did you get into biking?

I grew up in the South East of England, which isn’t known for its mountains and long descents. We do however, have almost every type of riding on our doorstep from dirt jumps, endless enduro laps & fresh loam downhill tracks. My brother actually got me into the sport and we ended up digging at our local woods with a good group of guys in the village. We were down there nearly every morning before school (at the time), after school and every weekend. Fast-forward a few years and that same group of mates were racing on the World Cup Circuit together!

If you had only one type of mountain bike to ride, what would you ride and why?

It depends where I was living in the world. In the South-East of England, you can shred everything on an enduro bike and it is such a laugh hitting loam corners with your mates. I have to say though that I would definitely miss my downhill bike because you just can’t beat the feeling of steeper tracks, racing and of course, throwing the big bike out sideways. So if I had to choose, it would be a downhill bike!

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Living in the Alps & riding bikes…no questions asked!

How/when did you get into mountain biking?

Started in the local woods with my friends building tracks and jumps inspired by the New Wold Disorder movies. About 12 years ago. That’s a long time 😳

If you had only one type of mountain bike to ride what would it be and why?

Properly my enduro bike. Don’t know why because I like downhill racing more then enduro haha

At least I could ride all year around then..
